The Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group (CDG) has announced a Celebration of Another Great CDG Year to take place Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon Creates, 121 First St. NW, Mount Vernon.
The main purpose of the event is to release the CDG’s latest Annual Report (covering the year 2019). A brief program led by committee chairs Kate Rose and Myrt Bowers will begin at 5:15 p.m. All are welcome.
“This has been another great year for both CDG and its fundraising arm, the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Charitable Development Group (CCDG),” said Myrt Bowers, Chair of the CDG. “We wanted to take this time to thank all of our volunteers, businesses, investors and other supporters who have made this organization stronger simply by being a part of it. We hope that both communities will come out to celebrate the ‘Another Great CDG Year.”
“This year’s Annual Report marks a real turning point for me,” said Joe Jennison, Director of CDG. “This year’s report, covering the year 2019, is the 10th such report that I’ve created since I’ve been here. Of course, I’m proud of all the work we’ve done over the past 10 years, but this one is extra special. Who’d a thought I’d still be here 10 years later.”
