Drive-Through Easter Egg Dash April 3

Children and families are invited to take part in the first-ever Drive-Through Mount Vernon-Lisbon Easter Egg Dash Saturday, April 3, beginning promptly at 10 a.m. at the Mount Vernon Middle School Parking Lot (Palisades Road and Fifth Avenue).

The annual event is a collaboration between the City of Mount Vernon Parks and Rec, Hallmark Care Center and Cherry Ridge Independent and Assisted Living, the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Charitable Development Group (CCDG) and the Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon.

The Easter Egg Dash will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. This event is free to all attendees, with more than  more than 500 baggies filled with individually wrapped candies.

“This committee did not feel as if the event could take place safely this year in its standard format,” said Jennie Stoner, Chair of the Easter Egg Dash Committee. “We made the decision to offer a Drive-Through event so that families could enjoy the Easter Bunny and treats from the safety of the family car. Hopefully next year we will be ready to race around the field and gather candy and eggs.”
