Chocolate Stroll 2020
October 10 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
The 11th Annual Mount Vernon Chocolate Stroll will take place Saturday, October 10, 2020, in partnership with the 14th Annual Mount Vernon-Lisbon Chili Cook-off.
RSVP for the Chocolate Stroll on Facebook.
This music and chocolate event invites guests to stroll down Mount Vernon’s historic First Street where participating businesses and chocolate vendors will offer chocolate and chocolate products for sample and sale.
The Chocolate Stroll will be followed immediately by the Chili Cook-off tasting event from 4 to 7 p.m.
“The Chocolate Stroll and Chili Cook-off committees, both managed by the CDG, got together and decided to partner to create an all-inclusive, family friendly chocolate and chili event that celebrates two great festival foods,” said Chocolate Stroll Committee Chair Sherene Player. “Since both festivals rely on sponsorship dollars, we thought this might be a great way to share resources and offer festival-goers two great events in one big day.”
“We are ecstatic about this partnership!” said Lori Winder, Chili Cook-off Committee Chair Lori Winder. “Chocolate has been a go-to secret ingredient in many Chili recipes, and chocolate bars with a bit of chili pepper are always popular and delicious. We encourage everyone to come to Mount Vernon for Chocolate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and stay for Chili from 4 to 7 p.m.”
