Girl Scout Service Unit 812 and Cole Library will host a presentation of “Nancy Drew: Iowa Heroine to the World” by Barbara Lounsberry in Cole Library’s room #108.

Nancy Drew is the most popular female detective in fiction.  Did you know that Nancy is an Iowa heroine and that her creator was Mildred Augustine of Ladora, Iowa?  Barbara Lounsberry, retired English professor at UNI, will share the history behind the creation of Nancy Drew and the life of her extraordinary creator.

This event is free and open to the public.
