Artist applications for Lincoln Highway Arts Fest now available

The Mount Vernon Area Arts Council (MVAAC) has announced that artist applications for the Lincoln Highway Arts Festival are now being accepted through the organization’s web site at mvaac.org/lincoln-highway-arts-festival/

The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Uptown Mount Vernon.

The basics of the application requirements are below.

— Artist spaces are 10 X 10. The artist needs to supply their own tent, tables and chairs. It is preferred that the artist has an artist tent to show cohesiveness of the show.

— Even if you have shown in the past, we are asking that you submit photos of your display and work so that we can appropriately assign booths.

— The MVAAC has kept its booth prices the same year over year so, this year in order to keep the booth price the same has decided to add 15.00 per additional artist in your booth.

— This year’s LHAF will allow for fine art and artisans to display their work. The work must be original / hand crafted by the artist.

— The artist needs to be present in the tent. (Volunteers will provide for breaks during the day)

— We have decided not to include the emerging artist category this year. The MVAAC had piloted this and it was not found to be in demand so, we have discontinued it.

— Application should be received by Sept 1, 2016
