SUMMARY:Mount Vernon Heritage Days Bags Tournament
DESCRIPTION:\nJoin the Mount Vernon Wrestling program for the annual bags tournament. The money raised helps support wrestling at ALL levels for both genders. Funds raised help us keep the season costs low, fund scholarships, equipment, camp fee’s, etc. \n\n\n\nWays to participate:\n\n\n\n\nPlay- There are three separate tournaments.\n\nMain Event–  This tournament is for anyone that would like to participate/compete.  The first 60 teams will have a place in the bracket.  The next 24 teams will compete in a play-in tournament for the final 4 spots in the 64 team bracket.  The cost to participate is $30 per team for the single elimination tournament.  The play-in tournament will begin at 1:00 pm with the main event tournament to follow. \n\n\n\nMVWC Heritage Days Tournament Information \n\n\n\nMVWC Heritage Days Tournament Teams please contact Coach Truitt if you would like to add your team to this list.\n\n\n\nYouth-  This tournament has room for 24 teams.  It is for students in MS or ES (completed 8th grade or below).  Cost to participate is $10 per team. This tournament begins around 2:30 pm.\n\n\n\nWrestling Moms– This tournament is for our wrestling moms.  Any Mom of a youth, JH, HS or Alumni wrestler is eligible to compete.  Cost to participate is $10 per team.  This tournament will begin at 1:00.\n\n\n\n\n\nLive Auction- At the conclusion of the Main Event tournament,  there will be a live auction to auction off the 8 sets of bag boards that were used for the Main Event tournament.  These sets were constructed and designed by our MVWC coaches.  The designs include Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State Cyclones, Iowa Wrestling, ISU Wrestling, MV Boys Wrestling, MV Girls Wrestling, MV Mustangs and a special MVWC design. They look great!\n\n\n\nSilent Auction- For the third year in a row we will have a silent auction.  This will be led by MVWC Coaches- Brian Doyle & Josh Frost.  If you would like to donate items for the silent auction please reach out to Coach Doyle or Coach Frost.  Their emails have been linked.
