CDG Announces Entrepreneuza III: Show Me the Money!

The Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group (CDG) has announced the third installment of its small business entrepreneur event. Titled “Entrepreneuza III: Show me the Money!” this installment will take place Wednesday, August 1, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Transformation Yoga Studio at 943 W US-30 (on the 2nd Floor above Lincolnway Golf Cars).

The purpose of the event is to show both new and established entrepreneurs avenues for funding for both new ventures and business expansions. Robin Bostrom, Business Specialist from Main Street Iowa, will be on hand to share some traditional and non-traditional funding opportunities.

Also on hand will be representatives from the local banking industry to answer questions about financing. All are welcome but entrepreneurs young and old with questions about starting or expanding their businesses are especially encouraged to attend.

“This event is the third installment of our Entrepreneuza series,” said Barb Ihde, Volunteer Chair of the event. “The CDG Business Improvement committee takes its commitment to local businesses very seriously and we want to provide local entrepreneurs with key information and available assistance in a straightforward way that is also a bit of fun.”

The event will include heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by local Chef Run Farms as well as wine, soda and beer.

The event is free and open to the public, however those planning to attend should respond to Joe Jennison, for food planning purposes. To RSVP or for more information, contact Joe Jennison, CDG Director, at (319) 210-9935 or through email at [email protected]
