CDG announces “Entrepreneuza IV: Business 101″

The Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group (CDG) has announced the fourth installment of its small business entrepreneur event. Titled “Entrepreneuza IV: Business 101, Let’s Get It Started!” this installment will take place Tuesday, April 16, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at library at the First Street Community Center, 221 1st St. NE.

The purpose of the event is to show people interested in becoming entrepreneurs steps they should take to ensure their new project is successful. Regional Director of America’s SBDC & Startup Guru Scott Swenson will be leading the workshop.

“This event is the fourth installment of our Entrepreneuza series,” said Barb Ihde, Volunteer Chair of the event. “The CDG Business Improvement committee takes its commitment to local businesses very seriously and we want to provide local entrepreneurs with key information and available assistance in a straightforward way that is also a bit of fun.”

The event will include heavy hors d’oeuvres as well as wine, soda and beer.

The event is free and open to the public, however those planning to attend should respond to Joe Jennison, for food planning purposes. To RSVP or for more information, contact Joe Jennison, CDG Director, at (319) 210-9935 or through email at [email protected]
