MV City Declaration of Continuing Mask/Face Covering Use

On February 5, 2021, Governor Reynolds signed a new proclamation lifting the restrictions for gatherings within the State of Iowa.   The new proclamation took affect at 12:01 a.m. on February 7, 2021, and is to remain in place until March 7, 2021.  In an effort to protect the health and well-being of its citizens, the City of Mt. Vernon WILL keep in place the requirements for social distancing and face coverings adopted by the City Council on August 3, 2020.

A copy of the fully executed Resolution containing the guidelines of mandated use, and possible exemptions can be found on the City of Mt. Vernon’s website at  Resolution #8-3-2020A will remain in effect until an affirmative vote of the Council easing these restrictions.
