The Mount Vernon Area Arts Council (MVAAC) has announced that it will hold its annual winter fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 5:30 p.m., at the First Street Community Center in Mount Vernon. Potluck dinner will begin at 5:30, and music will begin at 7.
There will be two all-female bands performing — the Awful Purdies from Iowa City (pictured) and the Deep Dish Divas from Cedar Rapids.
MVAAC will provide the pulled pork, all others are asked to bring a dish to share and something to drink. A $10 donation will go directly to MVAAC, all of which will be invested into arts programming.
