
Delta Phi Rho Lecture and Book Signing: Thomas Friedman
Three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist and author Thomas Friedman will share his insights on “The Big Trends Shaping the World Today: Economics, Technology, and Geopolitics.” The lecture is free and open to the public. Doors of King Chapel will open at 6PM for the 7PM lecture.
The lecture will be followed by a book signing in Cole Library at 8:15PM. Books will be for sale and Thomas Friedman will sign bookplates for customers who pre-purchase his forthcoming book, “Thank You For Being Late: How to Find a Job, Run a Country, and Keep Your Head in an Age of Acceleration.”
Friedman has covered monumental stories from around the globe for the New York Times Times since 1981. He is the author of “The World is Flat” and is renowned for his direct reporting and sophisticated analysis of complex issues facing the world. Other books include “That Used to Be Us: How America Fell Behind in the World It Invented and How We Can Come Back,” “Hot, Flat and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution—And How It Can Renew America,” “Longitudes and Attitudes: The World in the Age of Terrorism,” “The Lexus and the Olive Tree,” and “From Beirut to Jerusalem.”
