Gardening Conversations: Autumn Gardening
Gardening conversations continue at Cole Library! Each gardening workshop is part of a series of free library programs for gardeners, of any ability, to share experiences, ideas, and questions.
Attend on Tuesday, October 11 in Room 108. This month the focus is sharing methods for saving flower and fall vegetable seeds and discussing simple techniques for extending your growing season. The group will also look at Buck roses, bred by ISU horticulture professor Griffith Buck in the 1970s. These roses, like most Iowans, get along with just some common-sense care and can tough it out during harsh Iowa winters.
