Gardening Workshop
Each Gardening Workshop is part of a series of free library programs for gardeners, of any ability, to share experiences, ideas, and questions. Two workshops will be provided in May.
Gardening Workshop 1 – Building Soil: Tuesday, May 10
- Simple strategies for building healthy, productive garden soil, such as compost, cover crops, mulch and companion planting will be discussed. (This is a requested repeat of the March program.)
Gardening Workshop 2 – Perennials for Pollinators: Tuesday, May 17
- Suggestions for using native plants to create a pollinator friendly garden will be provided.
These workshops are in Room 108 on the 1st Floor of Cole Library. Call 319-895-4271 and reserve a seat and ensure there are supplies for everyone.
