Mount Vernon-Lisbon Easter Egg Dash 2019

Children with their parents at the Easter Egg Dash 2015

Mount Vernon-Lisbon Easter Egg Dash 2019

Area children are invited to take part in the annual Mount Vernon-Lisbon Easter Egg Dash at the Mount Vernon High School Track, located at Palisades Road and Fifth Avenue — and grab a bite to eat at the Annual Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast with their family before or after the event for a good cause.

The annual event is collaboration between the City of Mount Vernon Parks and Rec, Hallmark Care Center and Cherry Ridge Independent and Assisted Living, and the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group (CDG).

For the third year, the Easter Egg Dash committee will be partnering with the Mount Vernon Volunteer Firefighter’s Association (MV-VFA) to create two community events. The MV-VFA will be hosting its Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast on the same day and just down the street at the Mount Vernon Fire Station, located at Palisades Road and Second Avenue.

Easter Egg Dash April 2017The Easter Egg Dash is free to all attendees, with more than 5,000 individual plastic eggs filled with candy and prizes. Children will be divided into four categories based on age:

  • Ages 0-3 years
  • Ages 4-5 years
  • Ages 6-7 years
  • Games for ages 8 and up

Both events will host the Mount Vernon Easter Bunny, who will be shuttled back and forth between locations via fire truck. Families are encouraged to attend both events.

The Easter Egg Dash event is expected to take place outside on the High School Track. In case of rain, that event will be moved to the Middle School gymnasium.
