Mt Vernon and Lisbon Summer Reading Kickoff
Cole Library and Lisbon Public Library will officially kick off the summer reading program with a party at the Mount Vernon Hills Bank. This is a fun event to start getting excited about summer reading. Attendees of the Summer Reading Kickoff will sign up for the summer reading program, play games, and eat treats.
The 2016 summer reading theme is “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read.” The summer reading program will focus on games and sports. Activities related to this theme will be scheduled throughout the summer. This program encourages participation from preschoolers through young adults.
If you are unable to attend the Summer Reading Kickoff celebration, you can still sign up at the library after May 19.
