Here’s your chance to learn about the Palisades-Kepler State Park History! Jerry Reisinger, the Park Ranger for the Palisades-Kepler State Park from 1992 to 1998, will give a presentation focusing on the developmental history of the park. This discussion will cover the events that led up to the area functioning as a park to modern times.

This program was developed by Jerry as his master’s thesis. He worked for 38 years with the DNR in the Iowa state parks system as a park ranger and as a regional supervisor for 14 state parks in northeast Iowa. Currently Jerry is a professor of Parks and Natural Resources at Kirkwood Community College.
