Small Business Workshop: Getting Businesses Online
This small business workshop is for Mount Vernon and Lisbon small businesses. The event will focus on strategies for getting businesses online. This workshop will be led by Mount Vernon resident and Go Daddy Customer Consultation & Care Supervisor Casey O’Connor.
RSVP on Facebook.
O’Connor will focus on four simple strategies for getting businesses online:
- Brand — Understanding and defining your brand that connects to your audience.
- Presence — What kind of user experience clients will have when they are on your website?
- Productivity – How will you professionally communicate with your clients
- Growth — What actions are you taking to ensure that SEO best practices are in place, presence on listings, Website best practices, choosing a domain, and some social media points?
“This is the type of work that we do every day at Go Daddy,” says O’Connor. “If I can help a few small businesses in my own community succeed by just sharing the work I do every day, then of course, I am happy to help.”
The event will begin with a 45-minute presentation, followed by a question-and-answer period. A simple form will be used to help small businesses plan a Website. In addition, attendees will receive a beginner’s guide with resources to get them started. “I am confident that I can teach anyone to do this type of work,” he says.
Because the workshop will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m., CDG is planning to offer some appetizers, water, soda and wine. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP (for food and beverage planning) to Joe Jennison at [email protected].
