Suzi Parron, Barn Quilts Author Visit
Suzi Parron, author of Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement and Following the Barn Quilt Trail will be a guest speaker in Room 108 of the Cole Library.
She has documented over one thousand barn quilts, including hundreds from Iowa. In her talk, Parron will take us on a journey along the quilt trail. You will hear stories of some of the individuals who have painted quilt blocks to honor loved ones or their local culture, along with a few humorous anecdotes. She will share the origins of the barn quilt trail in Iowa and some of her favorite stories from our state. Parron will have books on hand for sale and signing.
