Amy White Leap Day Retirement Event to take Place Feb. 29

The Friends of the Lisbon Library today announced the date/time of longtime Lisbon Librarian Amy White’s last day and retirement event. 

The retirement event will take place Thursday, February 29, at the Lisbon Public Library and Heritage Hall, 101 E. Main St., Lisbon. An Open House will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the library, followed by a program organized by her friends and colleagues from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be available afterwards at Southeast Linn Community Center, located 108 S. Washington St., Lisbon.

“All are welcome to stop by and bid farewell to Amy on leap day as she embarks on her well-earned retirement,” said Library Board President Rich Eskelsen. “We have been fortunate to have Amy in this position for as long as we have, and with leap year, we now have an extra day to celebrate with her!”
