Cole Library: Attracting Purple Martins

Attracting Purple Martins: March 10th at 6:30pm in Room 108

Purple martins are the largest members of the swallow family. In areas east of the Mississippi River, purple martins are unique in their nesting methods. Instead of building their own shelters, they depend entirely on human-provided housing. Join Larry Olson on Tuesday, March 10th at 6:30pm in Room 108 for a program on these beautiful and fascinating birds. Olson will share his vast knowledge of purple martin lifestyles, housing, migration, and will teach attendees how to attract these special birds to their yards.
