Heritage Days 2025: Y2K Throwback Weekend!

WEATHER UPDATE, 7/11/2025:

• Lester Buresh Community Center (LBC) events are CANCELLED on Friday due to weather
• Alumni Reception is moved to 1pm on Saturday at the Visitor’s Center
• The Fun Run is moved to 1pm on Saturday at the MV Athletic Complex. Registration begins at 12:30.
• DRONE SHOW
  • Moved to Saturday, 7/12 at 9:30 PM due to weather!
  • Location to watch has changed to 1st Street East, with the drones being launched from the 1st Street Football Field!

Join us for Heritage Days, Mount Vernon’s annual community celebration packed with live music, food trucks, kids’ activities, and all the small-town fun you love! This year’s theme is Y2K (year 2000), so get out your frosted eye shadow, glitter, and low-ride jeans!

Live music all weekend—including local favorite Crazy Delicious Band on the Main Stage.

Family fun includes:

• Carnival games
• Heritage Days Parade (Y2K-themed!)
• Car Show, Conservation Station, and yard games
• Bean bag tournament and bingo
• Food trucks and beverage tent
• Kids Fun Run
