Mount Vernon Sculpture Trail Celebration & Ceremony
Celebrate the newest additions to the Mount Vernon Sculpture Trail in a brief ceremony November 1st! The new additions include stone signage created by local artist Dave Rega and underwritten with a grant from Linn County; an archway by Mount Vernon sculptor Dale Merrill funded by residents Les & Katrina Garner; a piece financed by the City of Mount Vernon; and a dragonfly sculpture funded by the Iowa Arts Council/National Endowment for the Arts — facilitated by the Mount Vernon Area Arts Council (MVAAC) and the Sculpture Trail Committee. It takes a village!
