Fuel is proud to brew small world roasters’ beans from princeton and serve baked goods from scratch. We also love to consistently perfect the art of conglomeration. Our art and antiques are gathered from around the globe and then some.
the fuel experience
One step into fuel’s magical menagerie of gifts, goods, antiques and killer coffee, you will know that you’ve walked into something special.
In fuel’s 20+ years in business, it has been home to thousands of work sessions, conversations, opened newspapers, political candidates, and even a spontaneous wedding.
With the owner’s mother, Pat, whipping up legendary baked goods, you will feel like you have wandered into Mount Vernon’s living room.
At the community table minds meet, strangers become friends and creative connections are sparked over a latte.
No trip to Mount Vernon is complete without filling your creative tank at fuel.
about the owner
fuel art and espresso was born out of elbow grease, late-night painting sessions, and a split-second decision to say yes.
Owner Tommie Ouverson, started the business over 20 years ago as a renter of a tiny section at the back of the historic building.
A passionate collector and curator, Tommie has said of fuel’s beautifully eclectic style, “You’ll be surprised with how it works out if you surround yourself with enough of what you love.”
