Halloween Happenings in Mount Vernon & Lisbon

Happy Halloween, Mount Vernon & Lisbon

It’s shaping up to be a fun-filled day in our communities with plenty of activities for all ages. Here’s what’s happening around town today:

Preschool Trick-or-Treat | 10:30 AM

Our youngest trick-or-treaters from the Mount Vernon Community Preschool will be visiting uptown businesses this morning! About 30 children will parade down the south side of Main Street, stopping by local storefronts — with special visits to Mount Vernon Bank & Trust and City Hall.

This long-standing Halloween tradition is a favorite for both kids and the community, and we’re thrilled to see it continue. Thank you to the local businesses for helping make this event special.

SELCC Community Soup Supper | 4:30–7:30 PM

Warm up before or after your evening festivities at the Southeast Linn Community Center’s annual Community Soup Supper. Guests can enjoy soup, chili, bread, and dessert, with the option to dine in or take out.

A photo booth will also be set up inside the library again this year. Freewill donations support SE Linn’s community programs.

Halloween Town in Lisbon | 5–7 PM

Join the fun in downtown Lisbon for Halloween Town, hosted by Lisbon Parks & Recreation. Families can trick-or-treat at local businesses, enjoy games and activities, hop on a hayrack ride, and explore booths set up by local organizations and community groups.

It’s a night full of Halloween fun and plenty of candy for everyone.
