Join the Community Investor Club (CIC)
The Community Investor Club (CIC) is an integral part of the work of the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group (CDG) and its fundraising arm the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Charitable Development Group (CCDG). Members are asked to donate what they can to support the efforts of the CDG and CCDG, and, in return, CIC members have access to early CDG festival announcements, and special invites to events.
As a CIC member, you also will be one of the first to know whenever CDG has exclusive offerings from local businesses and special early bird sneak peek CIC previews of upcoming events and festivals. Mount Vernon is an amazing community because of people like YOU! The CIC is a way to reward those people who believe in the work of both the CDG and the CCDG.

The Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group (CDG) is a non-profit business-oriented organization with a mission to “develop and promote our business environment, including but not limited to our Main Street district, and enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve.” Businesses can contribute to CDG through an annual investment or event sponsorship. Individual Supporters:
Individuals may make a tax-deductible contribution through the Mount Vernon-Lisbon CCDG, the 501c3 charitable organization of the CDG. The mission of the charitable organization is to “advance the economic, cultural, artistic and recreational vitality of the communities of Mount Vernon and Lisbon and advance quality of life events for CDG.”

Contributions to the MVL-CCDG are used for scholarships, festivals and events and quality of life projects.
Through Volunteering
We are the organization responsible for 14 annual festivals, and events, as well as dozens of community betterment projects. All of these projects and events need volunteers to create the magic that is CDG. The Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group works with 460-plus local volunteers to empower said volunteers to do cool things in their own community.

The group uses the Main Street four-point approach to economic development utilizing four standing committees. We currently have 46 subcommittees working within the Main Street four-standing-committee structure that are working on all sorts of projects and events:
Promotion Committee
This committee focuses on two areas:
- Community Events
- Retail Development
Many events and promotions are complementary and integrated, and all support the mission of Main Street and Community Development.
Organization Committee
This committee focuses on communications, fundraising and developing a strong volunteer network to support the efforts of Main Street and Community Development.
Business Improvement Committee
This committee focuses on strengthening local businesses, supporting both short and long term economic growth, and helping to revitalize the business district.
Design Committee
This committee is involved with the physical aspects of the community such as signage, lighting, historic preservation, streetscapes and forming a comprehensive look and feel in our downtown districts.
